Their content delivery platform is a true network-based interactive platform that fully replicates the traditional PC playback experience without over-burdening the resources of the broadband network or the end user. By allowing click-and-play access to titles, This product represents a major leap beyond the inconvenience of physically buying CD-ROMs at a retail outlet or going through the process of downloading content from the network onto the PC. The platform's software-on-demand services, such as PlayNow.com, enable users to try, rent, subscribe to or buy hundreds of popular software titles. Technology Partners: Job Description: Our client provides the leading technology required to rent and execute rich media software in real-time over broadband network connections. Our distributed client/server model enables the on-demand secure execution of consumer and business software on client PC's attached to high speed network connections. The Client Development Group is responsible for the Windows 95/98/NT and MacIntosh platform and tools work in C and C++. The client software interfaces to authorization servers, a storefront, and a content delivery server. The systems software component is at the heart of their innovative solution to broadband content delivery.
