Our client is the industry leader in the manufacture and installation of standardized and customized steel storage and display systems for the Home Center industry-they pioneered the concept. They are recognized in the industry as number one in the following vital client areas: customer service and delivery. They are also recognized for their designing capabilities-their engineering group can do on-site needs analysis, yard and store layout featuring manual or Computer-Aided-Design and Drafting, phased remodels, single stores or multiple store projects, and field engineering. Their degree of customer contact ranges from a simple U.P.S. shipment to complete turnkey. Our client is backed by the investment firm KKR-who has completed a total 44 transactions involving more than $75 Billion of total financing since 1976. KKR's primary principles include focusing on cash flow, building a partnership with management, incentivizing employees through equity ownership, and measuring success by increasing shareholder value for their limited partners. In addition, KKR's business is making equity investments for long-term appreciation, either through controlling ownership of a company or strategic minority positions-each company in their portfolio is independently managed and financed.

Due to this continued expansion and growth they are currently seeking a high caliber Plant Manager based in Columbia, Mexico which is west of Laredo, Texas. This individual will be responsible for providing a safe, comfortable operating environment by directing installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools equipment and utility Systems.

The incumbent will need to be multi-dimensional in that the essential tasks will be:

• overseeing the operational activities of two/three plants in Mexico;
• ensuring production operations by determining work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment;
• supporting product development and improvement by reviewing new product plans;
• discussing equipment needs and modifications with engineering;
• coordinating activities of worker fabricating or modifying machines, tools or equipment;
• designing, implementing and modifying preventative maintenance programs by reviewing production;
• being involved in quality control and maintenance reports and statistics;
• inspecting operating machines, equipment and systems for conformance with operational standards

Incumbent will have experience working in a steel racking or equivalent business.

Must be BI-lingual (English/Spanish)
