The candidate selected as a Project Manager will be involved in the Packaging Automation Division of our client. The primary responsibility will be to oversee the design, building and integration of automated primary and/or secondary packaging equipment and/or systems: control systems (PLC and PC), vision, conveyors, accumulating and collating, case/carton/bag handling, case forming/closing/packing, data acquisition and management, robotics.

The specific qualifications include:

• Packaging Industry experience (food, pharmaceutical, personal care products)
• Project Management (Planning, Monitoring, Expediting, Scheduling, Communicating...)
• Responsible for specific projects from receipt of purchase order through final customer acceptance
• Project team leader for specific projects
• Strong installation leadership and support background
• Proficient in mechanical controls design of packaging automation systems
• Planning and development for automating design processes
• Assist in training other employees
• Computer skills-Excel, Power Point, Word. Become proficient with Lotus Notes, Visibility and Microsoft Office
• Must be able to interact with customers, develop, quote and implement solutions
• Ability to analyze issues, establish plans, and manage execution
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Satisfy demanding/challenging customers facing unique ways of applying our clients’ Automation
• Identify opportunities for improving efficiencies
• Establish department operating instructions

Challenges Facing this Position:
• Deliver on current projects and develop improved processes concurrently
• Working with a team that does not report directly to them (ie: Engineering, Purchasing Manufacturing)
