The candidate selected as a Project Manager will be involved in the Packaging Automation Division of our client. The primary responsibility will be to oversee the design, building and integration of automated primary and/or secondary packaging equipment and/or systems: control systems (PLC and PC), vision, conveyors, accumulating and collating, case/carton/bag handling, case forming/closing/packing, data acquisition and management, robotics.
The specific qualifications include:
Packaging Industry experience (food, pharmaceutical, personal care products)
Project Management (Planning, Monitoring, Expediting, Scheduling, Communicating...)
Responsible for specific projects from receipt of purchase order through final customer acceptance
Project team leader for specific projects
Strong installation leadership and support background
Proficient in mechanical controls design of packaging automation systems
Planning and development for automating design processes
Assist in training other employees
Computer skills-Excel, Power Point, Word. Become proficient with Lotus Notes, Visibility and Microsoft Office
Must be able to interact with customers, develop, quote and implement solutions
Ability to analyze issues, establish plans, and manage execution
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Satisfy demanding/challenging customers facing unique ways of applying our clients Automation
Identify opportunities for improving efficiencies
Establish department operating instructions
Challenges Facing this Position:
