Marketing - Director of Operations/Marketing - Japan

They are currently seeking a highly qualified Director of Operations who will be based out of their offices in Japan. The selected candidate will work hand-in hand with sales, marketing and operations in coordinating efforts to forge strategic working relationships with leading corporations based in Japan. The primary responsibilities will include:

Sales:

• Working with Sales and Pre-sales management on execution of business strategy.

• Forecasting

• Working with sales managers with ensuring forecast is accurate each week

• Developing a broader use of IRIS as mains sales tool for closing deals

Prospect Mgmt/Business Development Representative:

• Working with the controller to hire and set-up the Business Development Representative function

• Working with marketing to ensure prospects are identified and passed to sales

• Ensuring regular contact is made with prospects

• Performing target accounts research, etc.

Financial Planning, Market Planning:

• Providing budget and quarterly updates of the forecast

• Assisting Sales Managers with planning the market strategy and assigning accounts to Sales Representatives

• Reviewing compensation plans

• Reviewing and updating compensation plans by comparing against market

• Setting quotas with sales management

• Getting involved in Sales Cycle Management

•  Developing a faster sales cycle

• Ensuring deals are pricing correctly and approved

• Ensuring contracts are recognizable

• Assisting with shipping product

• Establishing post-deal analysis database

Pricing:

• Reviewing and ensuring pricing is competitive, in particular with reference to global deals

• Developing and maintaining monthly and quarterly metrics.

Mandatory Skills/Experience:

•  Minimum 4 years experience in a corporate environment, ideally in a sales capacity

• Good understanding of the sales process

• Strong communication skills are essential

• Highly persuasive individual with the ability to present him or herself with a high level of credibility and professionalism

• Strong organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple, competing demands

• Good analytic ability, thoroughness and tenacity are key requirements

• High-energy, enthusiastic, highly-responsive individual who is willing to tackle a variety of tasks

• Strong ability and desire to work as a member of a team

• Ability and desire to work in a constantly-changing, rapidly growing environment

• Reasonable fluency in English and Japanese
