Our client is seeking an Industry Marketing Manager with at least 3-5 years technical sales or industry marketing experience. This individual will be responsible for :

• developing and implementing strategic industry and business plans
• increasing revenue and market share and profits within a specific industry
• international coordination of projects.
• 'Championing' new product development, forecast, and coordinate industry/account activities.

Specific duties include:

• Develop and implement strategic industry and business plans. Identify target industries and/or core accounts to achieve key revenue and profit goals
• Manage all account activities within assigned industry. Works with other areas of the organization (sales, MNA, product mgmt.) to provide technical support as needed and keep org. informed of industry plans and activities
• Conduct market research to analyze competition and define economic and technological trends relating to assigned industry
• Service the customer (s) by identifying current and future needs, building relationships, promoting products and technologies.
• Works with other departments to solve problems as they relate to pricing, delivery and quality. Prepare reports and tracking documents to report on revenue and profit results, forecasts, lead projects, status reports, etc
• Acts as the industry expert by one or more of the following: attending standards committee meetings, coordinating customer visits, holding product seminars for customers, attending key trade shows, providing training and/or technical support to other areas of the company
• Identifies designs-in and sells new product applications and opportunities
• May have direct or indirect supervisory responsibility for lower level marketing professionals and
• Support Molex TQM Program by following approved policies and procedures

Requirements include: a Bachelors degree in Engineering preferably ME, EE, or MBA, 5+ years sales/marketing experience in connector industry and 2+ years sales/marketing experience in specific industry of account assignment. In addition, you must have experience with strategic planning, coordination of international projects, and forecasting. Preferences include: Previous supervisory experience.
