They are currently seeking a highly qualified Chief Security Officer who will report into the President/COO of the company with dotted line responsibility to the VP, Facilities and CIO. This individual will sit at the VP table in discussing strategic security initiatives. This position has high visibility within the company - especially due to the recent partnership with Microsoft where the two companies have agreed to terms where our client will run a concurrent backup server for Microsofts on-line business. Your primary responsibilities will be to manage and direct the security policies and procedures throughout the company. Reporting directly to the President, this position will require overseeing and coordinating efforts across the company, including Engineering, Network Infrastructure, HR, IT, Legal, and other groups, to identify key protection, security monitoring, intrusion detection, access control to facilities, and remote access policies). It will also involve working with outside consultants as appropriate for independent security audits. Your primary responsibilities will include: Identifying protection goals and objectives consistent with the corporate strategic plan. Identifying key security program elements. Managing the development and implementation of a global security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security. Assisting with the investigation of security breaches and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary. Coordinating implementation plans, security product purchase proposals, and project schedules. Requirements BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field. Masters or PhD a plus. Eight to ten years of progressive experience in computing and security, including experience with Internet technology and security issues. technical and security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff. Ability to work and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment. Experience with disaster recovery planning, testing, auditing, risk analysis, business resumption planning, contingency planning, as well as contract and vendor negotiation experience. |
