Our client is currently seeking a highly qualified Account Executive/Sales Executive who will oversee a territory to include New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and parts of New York. The territory currently produces sales of $3.5 Million with a projected sales growth of 20% per year.

The selected candidate will have the following skills sets/qualifications:

• 4+ years experience with proven success working in a sales organization in a very technical & long sales & execution process
• success in growing customer accounts or vertically integrated engineered applications
• success developing & maintaining large & small customer accounts & national account management experience
• 3+ years experience selling integrated robotic manufacturing systems which utilize robots or automated manufacturing equipment such as injection molders, machine tools and presses
• 3+ years experience selling to general industry market in the areas of deburring , material handling, machine tending and material removal applications
• demonstrated success selling in difficult environments, i.e. multiple competitors for the same system
• a willingness to travel more than 60% and
• PC proficiency & experience with MS application software (Word, Excel).

They are seeking an individual who has/is high energy, self-motivated, establishes plans & manages execution, builds relationships (demonstrated success) with customers, drive for results, high integrity, acts independently, analyzes issues, enjoys interacting with people, adapts to quickly changing environments and fosters teamwork. The key measurements for this position over the next 12 months include:

• generating $3 million in sales revenue
• meet regional quota's of a specified number of customer visits and quotation development activity
• sales volume dollars (4 MUSD in region)
• 30-day forecast accuracy (80%)
• number of new customers (9.6 per year)
• number of repeat customers (5 per year)
• order growth within territory
• number of firm RFQs (8 requests for quote per month)
• number of face to-face customer contacts (16 per month)
• ability to stay within budget on travel and
• an ability to sell ABB's preferred payment terms.

Our client expects the territory to grow to gross sales of $6 million dollars in the future as well as assist the chosen candidate in attaining the position of Senior Account Sales Executive. The primary challenges facing this position are 1) an ability to prioritize leads and efficiently cover a several state territory and 2) establishing a presence in markets where the competition is better known and perhaps already entrenched.
