Our client is a rapidly growing company founded in 1987 (50% growth per year the last 3 years). They manufacture personal security systems for healthcare and commercial use. The company uses RF technology in the design of flexible modular systems. and is a leading supplier of personal security systems for healthcare. The first product, a wanderer monitoring system, was introduced in 1987. In addition the company produces emergency response systems, an infant and child security system, and fall prevention systems. The division's primary customers are long term care facilities and hospitals.

The individual chosen as a Vice President and General Manager - Hospital will directly manage all business unit activities with the primary goal being the profitable growth of the business. These positions are newly created and provide the selected candidate(s) the opportunity to lead a team responsible for taking the company to the next level of accomplishments and achievements within the healthcare market. In addition, this individual will report to the owner/president.

The primary responsibilities will include:

• Managing a business or division with P&L responsibility.
• Overseeing and implementing plans to provide further structure within the current dynamic sales organization. (A structured sales environment is defined as having or developing systems such as forecasting, market analysis, and performance management and training plans.)
• Developing and implementing sales/marketing plans and meeting face-to-face with existing clientele.
• Responsibility for recruiting, hiring, building and training successful teams.
Managing programs and/or projects to sustain results including: product management, product maintenance and new product development.
• Overseeing strategic planning and implementation within their division of responsibility.

Ideally, this individual will have the following personal characteristics and competencies to include: goal orientation, strong sales ability, resilience, ability to analyze, strong interpersonal skills, technical orientation, sense of urgency, concerns for order and demonstrated continuous learning.

Qualifications:

BS in Business or related degree required with MBA or MS in pertinent field a strong plus. Experience in doing business in the healthcare industry and with capital equipment/systems is desired.
