| Our client is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the world's leading supplier of electronic security management systems and services. Their innovative systems use the most sophisticated field-proven computer software and hardware technologies developed specifically to manage building access, CCTV, alarm monitoring and other critical functions. Due to continued growth, our client, based in Simi Valley, California, is currently seeking a highly qualified Product Manager. This position is a high profile position within the organization and offer opportunities for future advancement. Ideally this candidate will bring a strong understanding of the Security Industry with experience in Product Management - online access control systems knowledge is very helpful. In addition, this candidate must have strong verbal and written communications skills. This individuals main responsibilities will include: Provide product management support for the new NT platform and ensure that it has the feature set and performance to be an effective commercially viable platform. Develop with Technical documentation and Marketing, the tools required to assist the Direct and Reseller organizations to effectively sell and support the new NT platform. Provide competitive analysis and ongoing input to Marketing on the feature sets required to meet and continue to beat competition in the Windows and NT arena. Review incoming RFQ's for P1000 & P2000 NT compliance Provide a day to day interface between Sales and Engineering to evaluate, educate and develop an understanding of CK720 network applications to the P1000, P2000 and future NT platforms. Develop the business and performance model of the smaller P1500 version of the NT platform to effectively sell into the Windows 3.11 / Windows 95 competitive arena. Conduct product roll-outs to the field offices for the P2000 and P1500 and provide the field offices with initial overview of features and performance. Provide demonstrations of the P2000 NT and P1500 platforms at various trade shows and debrief the European Product Manager on a regular basis on US competitors. Assist in identifying the tools required to localize the NT platform in multiple languages. Provide a day to day interface to ensure that we can meet reasonable delivery of a localized system. Attend strategic planning meetings to ensure that the future direction of the network / NT offerings meet our long term goals - provide input as to potential direction - risk analysis. Attend trade shows such as the ISC show Las Vegas, ISC Show NY, ASIS National show, and other designated shows in the US. Attend international shows such as the IFSEC show in the UK when requested by management. Additional Aspects of this job: Must be physically able to carry PC's and peripherals and assist at trade shows in setting up demos as and when required. PC skills must include a good technical background in MS Windows and NT applications. Win 95, NT and Win 2000 expertise important. Some networking experience a plus. Language skills useful especially Spanish not essential, but definitely a plus. Candidate is not expected to travel more than 15% of the time. Candidate must have no criminal record, a good driving record and be willing to locate to Simi Valley, California. |
